The Adventure
A full week of fantastic family adventures, for everyone to enjoy, based in a stunning rural location, providing full-on family fun and exciting adventures in the beautiful Spainish provence of Velencia. Kayak and play in the warm seas of the Med, abseil and climb in the stunning mountains of the Sierra de Aitana, bike through olive and citrus groves and traditional rural villages, trek and scramble over the amazing limestone Velencian landscape. That’s after going high on an exhilarating 4x4 journey, an adventurous boat journey, fishing for your lunch on the way out to explore and snorkel from a small off-shore island. All this designed for family adventure and fun!! A true family experience, based at a prefect location between the soaring mountains of the Sierra de Aitana and the warm blue waters of the Mediterranean. All of this excitement is fully supported by fantastic home cooked food and suberb traditional farmhouse family accommodation set high on the hills with fantastic views out over the terraced groves and the evening sunsets. Finish the days exciting adventures with a cooling swim in the 25metre, natural spring fed pool, or just sit and enjoy a drink as you watch the sun creep towards the horizon.

Day 1: Arrive in Alicante and transfer by minibus to your fantastic 400 year old family run farm guesthouse, and meet your hosts Jon and Vi. A chance to explore and relax!

Day 2: Lets head to the beach and have our first taste of kayaking, fun, safe and exciting. No worries if you have never been in a kayak before, this first session is based on the beach and gives plenty of time to get to know your boat and learn basic skills. No pressure just relax and have fun! Also plenty of time to swim and enjoy getting to know the team.

Day 3: A great day today, off up into the hills, and sorting out bikes and saddles and helmets and then heading back downhill to base. A long lovely ride, easy and with great views all the way back to base for a fantastic home prepared lunch. After a relaxing lunch time to climb aboard the bus and head for the hills again. This time we shall drive high and then leave the bus and explore one of the fantastic mountain summits, this will provide fantastic views and a chance to see just what a fantastic location this is for family adventures and exploration.

Day 4: Rock day, this is a chance to explore and try out your climbing skills! Plenty of expert help to provide a brilliant safe day. Lots of easy routes to build some confidence and some harder ones if you feel up for a challenge. Family fun for all whatever your fitness or ability. After all that excitement what a better way to spend the afternoon than visit to the local famous chocolate factory, no worries you have worked off enough calories, so enjoy!!

Day 5: Still more excitement! Well today its expedition day, so load kayaks and set off on a coastal journey. Explore a section of Spain’s spectacular coast, great views and lots to see and explore, landing on the beach for a much needed lunch, swim and relax before heading off, now paddling skills finely honed! Double and single kayaks so plenty of scope to change and have fun.

Day 6: Lets find a nice friendly rock face and learn to abseil down it, scary but great fun and very safe. Let us help to overcome any understandably fears you may have ‘give this a go’ a great buzz and family team building feeling. After all that a visit to the ice cream parlour on the seafront (an opportunity to buy your guide an ice cream!) and, dare I say it, a chance to explore the shops and spend that holiday money!!!

Day 7: Wow, our own private boat we make our way to a small offshore island, maybe tuna fishing on the way. Land, have lunch, take a swim, chill out, exploring before setting off back for the mainland and our last night dinner

Day 8. Farewells and Mini-bus to Alicante for flight back to London.

Kayaking
Double and single sea kayaks, comfortable, stable and easy to paddle. This is such a fun activity and even better in the warm waters of the Med!!!Instructors accompany the group at all times which provides ample opportunity to acquire or improve those kayaking skills. The difference between Canoe and Kayak, canoe you kneel and use single paddle, kayak you sit and use double ended paddle

Climbing and Abseiling
Spanish limestone, warm and friendly, this makes this activity fun, safe and inviting. Very easy climbs for that first go, and if you feel ready try something a little harder, always on a rope so if you slip you are totally protected and safe. Abseiling, often an activity that people really want to try but never felt quite brave enough. Well the opportunity is here for you to ‘give it a go’ with safe experienced instructors to keep you safe and feel the thrill of controlled descent!!
