It is a summer holiday, for the whole family, full of sun, beach, water, evening fires under starlight... Children playing, laughing, parents finding the time to relax and recharge, meeting new friends, having adventures & learning skills. Parents hopefully finding the time to relax and recharge, to have fun, to meet new people. Mobiles are mostly forgotten by the end of the week!
Itinerary at a Glance
• Day 1 : Arrive Faro, arrive to Eco Lodge, short walk.
• Day 2 : Adventure walk to the beach, swimming & games.
• Day 3 : Rock climbing and beach.
• Day 4 : Bike ride to lunch spot and beach.
• Day 5 : Surf lesson.
• Day 6 : Free day, morning T-shirt painting, afternoon optional.
• Day 7 : Kayak day .
• Day 8 : Trip ends after breakfast, transfer to Faro.

Activities
Sea kayaking:
Follow the river estuary to the sea. Swim, play and picnic before we head back to the little village for a piece of delicious cake.
Adventure walk:
We do a short walk that takes us to a beach, for a swim or a big lake where we have lunch and then walk back to the start.
Surfing:
Head to the beach for a fun day in the water, learn to surf, beach games and sun. This is an activity for the whole family.
Body boarding:
the first step to understanding waves. enjoy an afternoon in the waves.
Climbing:
An introduction to climbing. Learn some basic climbing instruction including using gear, tying knots, then a chance for every one to have a go...the climbing is easy, you do not have to leave the ground if you don´t want to. Off to Sagres for a visit and the best ice-cream in Portugal.
Coastal bike trip:
An easy ride for all, follow tracks, cross rivers, pass through forests, sometimes we tow a small one if needed... and end up at a little coastal village for a well deserved ice-cream and swim. Option: Transfer or ride back.
Boat trip:
to the most SW tip of Europe: this is a half-day trip and it is possible to sometimes see dolphins. This is an optional trip for the free day.
Archery:
Test your skills.
T-Shirt Painting:
it was such a success with both adults and children that we added this fun experience. Escape the sun, for a bit of shade, and fun art.
Other free time activities
Farm experience: time spent on the farm, collect eggs, pick fruit, collect tomatoes or beans, maybe even plant a tree.
Night walk: be amazed by the amount of stars and brightness of the night sky. Spend time finding planets, constellations, galaxies, experience the milky way.
Lake swimming: enjoy the natural lake, swim, take a kayak, try the zip-line or lie on the deck and enjoy the sun.
Trip to "Cabo San Vicente" to watch the sun go down, with a glass of wine or something nice.
Field game: various games and challenges.
We choose the activities for the day according to the weather and the condition of the people involved.
All our guides are based locally. They are all passionate about their surroundings and are committed to sharing their
experiences with you.
Group sizes are small (4-16 people) as we feel it gives the tours a good mix of people whilst giving everyone the opportunity to learn something new.

Single parent, single child families and grandparents are all welcome. This holiday is ideal for children between 6 and 75 years young, we do accept younger and older siblings. Contact us if you think your child will manage but is younger.
The children are given the freedom and space to be themselves.
Trips tend to sell out quickly with many repeat bookings, so do get in touch.

I wasn’t sure quite what to expect when I agreed to go on holiday with my family (incl. 3 younger brothers) at nearly 21 years old but I can 100% say that it was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. I know that very few 17/18+ year old's would ever consider a holiday with their parents but this place is something else entirely. For the first time in years I was able to entirely forget about exams/university and just relax. The activities, the food, the location…
Everything was amazing and the chilled atmosphere allowed me to be a part of both the ‘adult group’ and also to just be a kid again.

If you want a beach holiday where the most activity you get is turning over on your towel, this is NOT the holiday for you! If you DO like to share laughs & have fun with your family with Jonny, doing stuff like climbing,cycling,kayaking & falling off surfboards, then come back to eat Vio's amazing food & relax in your own lovely cottage, then THIS IS THE PLACE FOR YOU AND YOUR FAMILY! Jonny's home-made pizzas aren't
half bad either….!
